I come to Stampin’ Up with 10 years of being a CTMH Maker. I am so thrilled to join as a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator and ready to take on new adventures. I love sharing my love of crafting, teaching, hosting get-togethers and find it so rewarding. Not only do I get to be creative every day, I also get to be a creative coach, offering fresh project ideas and encouragement to my customers and friends. For me, helping someone put together that perfect project for a special occasion is the best feeling in the entire world. After all, creating cards, scrapbook pages, and gift items is about more than just stamps and ink—it’s about sharing a part of yourself with the people you love. It’s capturing memories to last a lifetime and doing it with friends who share in this amazing crafting world.
I have crafted since I was little, hand-sewing Barbie clothes, selling hand-made bouquets of flowers on my school bus in middle school and working in a Crafting Store when I got out of Nursing School and there were no jobs. I remember my Mother driving me into town to take sewing classes as a teenager and I still have the draw-string bag I made in Home Ec in High School.
I worked community nursing for many years doing Home Care, Public Health and running a Diabetes Education Program and I always managed to squeeze in crafting time. When I retired I was able to devote more time into crafting. When CTMH offered a free Cricut cartridge to join I took them up on it, never expecting to sell a thing. But somehow I ended up loving it, loving the social aspect of Craft Days and Open Houses and developed a whole group of enthusiastic newbies in Manitouwadge. When I moved to just outside Thunder Bay, in Shuniah, I looked to continue this love of sharing my creativity and meet people. Gradually I built up my small business and discovered many new friendships with this. Now with CTMH closing its doors, I look forward to new possibilities with Stampin’ Up.
I live in Shuniah with my VERY supportive husband and enjoy our home in the country where there is nature’s inspiration everywhere. I also love gardening and I raise and release Monarch Butterflies each year. Our gardens are filled with bees, hummingbirds and butterflies and flowers galore.
We have one son and his wife and 2 amazing little granddaughters. We are so blessed they live nearby. Can’t wait until they are old enough to craft with Nana.
